We created The PrEP Experts because we care deeply about improving the sexual health experience for our community. We wanted to build something different. Something safer, more personal, and easier to access.

What is PrEP?
PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) is a daily medication that dramatically reduces the risk of HIV transmission. It is for anyone who is HIV negative and wants added protection, including people in new relationships, people with multiple partners, and anyone who wants to take control of their sexual health.
Who is PrEP for?
PrEP is recommended for anyone at higher risk of HIV, including men who have sex with men, transgender individuals, people with HIV positive partners, those with recent STIs, and anyone who wants added protection and peace of mind.
How effective is PrEP?
When taken consistently, PrEP reduces the risk of getting HIV from sex by about 99 percent. It is one of the most powerful HIV prevention tools available.
How do I get started?
Getting started is easy. You simply book an online appointment, meet with our healthcare provider through a virtual appointment, complete your lab work, and once your blood work is reviewed your prescription is filled and shipped directly to your home. There are no in person visits required.
What tests do I need and how often is follow up?
Before starting PrEP, you will complete routine testing including HIV, kidney function, and sexually transmitted infection screening. These tests are required for safety and ongoing monitoring.
What medications do you offer? Are there side effects?
We offer both generic Truvada and Descovy. Your provider will help choose the best option based on your health and medical history. Most people experience no significant side effects. Some may notice mild stomach upset or headache when first starting, which usually resolves within the first few weeks.
How quickly will I receive my medication?
Once your blood work has been received and reviewed, your prescription is filled and shipped within 24 hours. We ship using Purolator or Canada Post, and shipping is always free.
Is the shipping discreet and secure?
Yes. All packages are completely discreet. There is no reference to PrEP or sexual health on the shipping label. A signature is required upon delivery, so your package is never left unattended.
How much does PrEP cost?
Most patients pay zero dollars. We actively work to reduce copays and handle coverage on your behalf. If there is ever any cost, we contact you before shipping so there are no surprises.

Absolutely. We are queer owned and operated. Our care is non judgmental, inclusive, and affirming.
Is my information private?
Yes. Patient data and appointments are 100 percent confidential and protected by Canadian medical privacy laws. Your medications are shipped in discreet packaging to your doorstep or to the post office of your choosing.
